How your book reaches readers

Distribution is worth being clear about, because it's often described vaguely. Your book is distributed and sold by the publishing platform — Amazon KDP, or any other platform you choose. The platform prints or delivers it, lists it, takes payment from the reader and pays royalties to the account holder under its own terms. Platforms differ, so read the terms of the ones you use.

Self Publish Me is not a distributor and does not sell your book. The work is preparing your book to a professional standard and setting it up correctly on those platforms, generally through your own publishing account.

What that means in practice

• The retail listing belongs to your account.
• Royalties are paid by the platform, to you.
• Some platforms offer expanded distribution options that may broaden availability under separate eligibility and royalty terms. No option guarantees that any bookstore or library will stock or order the book.
• You can update your listing yourself whenever you want.
