Accessibility Statement
We want authors to be able to use this website whatever device or assistive technology they rely on. This page describes what we do today and where we know there are limits.
Our approach
This site is built with standard, semantic web pages: headings in order, real links and buttons, labelled form fields, visible keyboard focus, text alternatives for meaningful images, and colour combinations chosen for readable contrast. Pages work at mobile sizes and when text is enlarged, and animation is kept restrained and respects a reduced-motion preference where it is used.
Known limitations
The 3-D book viewer on our Our Books pages is a visual experience driven by pointer and touch gestures. Every book it shows is also presented as a normal cover image with its title, author and description in text, so no information is available only inside the viewer. We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim a formal conformance level.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us through our contact page and describe the page and what happened. We will do what we reasonably can to fix it, and we will help you another way in the meantime.
